Summary

The Kanohi Batar is the Mask Of Threat Detection, which allows the wearer to discern at a glance if a being is armed in any way, including concealed weapons. The Great version of the mask imparts specific knowledge of what kinds of weapons the target is carrying, while the Noble version just grants a general awareness of their presence and number.

To avoid being overwhelmed by the influx of knowledge, some wearers of this Kanohi prefer to equip it with an external eyepiece to display the information.

The original version of this mask that I made about a year ago was my first foray into kitbashing and remodelling, and I was never happy with it. While this new version is still remixed from KhingK’s Baterra helmet piece, it includes a new mouthguard (based on that of the Kanohi Elda, the canon Mask Of Detection), additional detailing to give it a less smooth look, and an optional eyepiece.

This upload includes versions compatible with both the Glatorian and Metru head pieces.
