I added a tab to support an amazon rotary encoder to the desktop stand. The Encoder works very well with T-Beams for Meshtastic canned messages.
This is measured for the Cylewet CYT1100 Rotary encoder off Amazon (I'm not associated with them).

I use the 25mm GPS antennas - they lock up so much quicker than the little 6mm antennas. (I'm not associated with them either).

For the T-Beam, use the right hand lower Ground pin and then GPIO 14 and 15 for the rotary presses and GPIO 25 for the select.
If you Strip the insulation off a piece of wire about 12mm from the end and bare the end, you can create a single ground for the encoder. Makes it so you only need 4 solder joints on the T-Beam.
Putting the wires on the back of the T-Beam against the battery holder makes a prettier install, but folding them through works just fine.
You will need 4x small screws to hold the T-Beam to the base.
