Summary

Designed to replace a standard pull handle on a Toro 21-inch snow thrower, but it should work well with any brand of snow thrower or lawnmower with a 3.5-4 mm cord.

It fits nicely into the rope guide on the thrower handle and has a spot to hold the rope knot.

Makes starting easy even with heavy gloves or mittens.

It prints well laying down and needs supports to the bed. It can be printed vertically but it will use more filament and takes longer to print. Infill of 25% appears to be strong but you could go with 50% or more if you are uncomfortable.

It is a little difficult to remove the support from inside the rope hole, but it can be pried out from the inside of the handle.

How I Designed This

Recoil Starter Rope Handle for Snow Thrower

This was designed to replace a standard pull handle on a Toro 21-inch snow thrower, but it should work well with any brand of snow thrower or lawnmower with a 4mm or less cord.

I could not find one in this repository that met my needs, so I designed this one. It took a couple of tries but with Fusion360 I was able to go back and make changes even to the basic shape.
