Summary

I have looked far and wide for a top truss gantry crane, so I have ended up designing and building it myself. I had a few photos to look at, from WW2 era, and they were pretty hard to fathom..

This crane can be scaled to whatever scale works i guess, I have left a guy standing on the stair case, he is 187Cm tall, or about 11.5mm tall in this model. I used a resin printer to make this, so what I have done is add the files as if you were laying them on your build plate, but you can add your supports..

It is a work in progress, I have yet to add the railings on the top, a set of structures such as internal elevators in the legs, engine house, you know, all the usual unfinished gear, that I hope to see someone make them, as post a file..

I have zero cad experience, or 3d design, and in fact, i only had a slicer program to use, and that is how I designed and built this crane..
the program is called Formware 3D, it is a slicer, but i found a way to use it as a design builder.. anyway, good luck,
