Summary
It is a very slight remix of the hollow version of the original Moon Paperweight to remove the solid ring at the bottom. This allows an LED light strip to be taped to the inside of the rim of one side and light up the whole moon.
The LED strip I used was The Light Multipurpose LED Lighting Strips for Sewing. The base I eventually settled on is this wooden one.

Post-Printing
Drilled a small hole through one of the craters where the two halves join. That allowed the light's cord to be passed through. The LED strip comes with double-stick tape pre-installed, which was used to adhere the strip to the widest part of one of the halves.
